Originally launched in the United Kingdom, the opening of the Dubai branch at the Copthorne Hotel marks Veri Peri’s third outlet.
Veri Peri initially expanded in the UK before launching in the Middle East – first in Saudi Arabia, followed by the recent launch in Dubai.
Veri Peri head of marketing Fahad Abdullah said: “It has been a while in the making, but we are thrilled to open our doors and bring the first Veri Peri to the UAE. We are confident that our offering will suit a variety of taste buds in Dubai, and that we can add some spice to the culinary scene. As a casual and family-friendly restaurant, we offer an extensive menu with an authentic Portuguese culinary experience that will leave everyone ‘Perified’ and coming back for more.”
All produce is prepared fresh and sourced locally, and the menu serves up much more than just the traditional chicken espetada, offering an array of dishes including salads, soups, burgers, wraps, and pastas. Other signature dishes include the Veri Peri Sizzling Steak and the Cataplana.
Veri Peri also has a number of vegetarian options on offer, one of which is the first all-vegetarian espetada made with grilled halloumi cheese, sautéed tomatoes and green peppers.
The brand has also created its own range of Veri Peri sauces with six flavours on offer, from flaming hot to garlic, lemon and herb versions.
