Steps, the pop heroes responsible for some of the catchiest, funkiest pop tunes of the late ’90s and early 2000s will be playing for one night only at Dubai Opera on Friday April 27 next year.
The venue has been making a big move towards hosting pop and rock gigs in recent times, with Scouting For Girls and Rufus Wainwright having already played in recent months, and with Rag’n’Bone Man scheduled for a late-March performance.
Now, it’s time for the five-piece, multi-award-winning pop act to come and follow up on their 2017 comeback tour. All five singers from the original line-up will be there: Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer, Clare Richards, Lee Latchford-Evans and Ian Watkins.
Anyone who remembers Steps will surely remember their biggest hits, like 5,6,7,8, Deeper Shade of Blue, Chain Reaction and this epic cover of Bee Gees classic Tragedy.
Before breaking up in 2001, having formed in 1997, Steps sold 20 million records, had 14 consecutive top five singles plus a BRIT award to their name.
Not only can you expect the classics, but you’ll also be treated to some new material from the band as they air tracks from new album Tears on the Dancefloor – the band’s first ever album of entirely original music.
Tickets start from Dhs275, with a Dhs100 discount available for early bird tickets, while stocks last.
