Oman’s first budget airline, SalamAir, has started the bookings for its services from Thursday. Tickets are available on the Salalah-Muscat sector from January 30, while for Dubai-Muscat sector from February 15.
Promotional fares are for RO 13 (one-way) to Salalah from Muscat (Light rates). Fares under Friendly option are RO 17 and under Flexi option is RO 25.
Fares for Dubai starts from RO 16.6 (Light), RO 20.6 ( Friendly) and RO 28.6 (Flexi). Under Light option no changes in dates possible and no refund in case of cancellation and only 7 kg of hand baggage. Under Friendly option changes in dates possible allowed 3 hours before departure for RO 15.
Hand baggage allowance of 7 kg is allowed and 20 kg of check-in baggage.
Under Flexi option changes in dates possible allowed 3 hours before departure for free along with 7 kg of hand baggage and 20 kg of check-in baggage.
In case of cancellation or no show re-fund possible up to three hours before departure, a refund fee of RO 15 per person per ticket will be charged. After three hours before departure no refund is permitted.
Dedicated counters to speed up check in process and baggage marked as priority and will be among the first delivered to the baggage claim area.
SalamAir launched its brand identity in October this year and at the event, the airline had mentioned that the online portal will contain full details of SalamAir’s schedule, price structure, flexible ticket options, and special offers.
Customers will also be able to purchase tickets from ticket desks at Muscat and Salalah international airports.
Awarded its air service operator license by the Public Authority for Civil Aviation in 2016, SalamAir with its fleet of three Air-bus A320s, the first flight will take off from Salalah to Muscat, followed by operations to include the GCC and Middle East.
The airline will be based in Muscat, but will have a secondary hub at Salalah airport.
SalamAir, will start its scheduled services four daily flights to Salalah, to be followed by Dubai, Jeddah and Khartoum.
