Souped-up Jaguar F-Type SVR looks likely to get four-wheel drive, 567bhp and a 200mph top speed.
A sales brochure revealing the Jaguar F-Type SVR has been leaked online, giving us our first look at Jag’s range-topping sports car.
The SVR badge means it has been developed by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations department, and the brochure indicates that it will feature the same 567bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine as the limited-edition Project 7. It will be the first Jaguar to wear the SVR badge, however, following on the heels of last year’s Range Rover Sport SVR.
Thanks to the powerful V8 with 700Nm of torque, an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive, the F-Type SVR will go from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and on to an incredible 200mph top speed – according to the leaked sales materials. That means it will have 25bhp more than the F-Type R, the current range-topper, and manage the 0-62mph sprint 0.4 seconds faster. It also comprehensively beats the R’s top speed of 186mph.
An insider tells us that those figures aren’t final, but if true it will mean the F-Type SVR matches the limited-run Project 7 as the most powerful Jaguar production car ever.
